| something killing my fuel pump 97 chevy 1500 well i have done just about everything to this truck. i just repalced the fuel pump again, and it did the same thing. just quite after about 5 minutes. now it wont come back on. i can not hear it come on. will not start. as soon as i replace the pump i tried just turn the key a little and i could here it then i started it and it started and then just died like within 5 minutes. seems like something is killing the fuel pump. fuel relay is still good ignition control is new . this thing is driving me crazy. |

| have you replaced the wiring harness/plug for the fuel pump. They have a problem shorting out internally and killing fuel pumps.
