Wiring question???

Ok i know yall are getting sick of my posts but. does anyone know of a good wiring schematic for dummies? i hate electrical but my headlights and tailights are not working. Brake lights work turn signals work. I belive these are on a different circuit than the headlights/tailights. I tried to follow the haynes schematic but that is too confusing. I am gonna start tracing wires today but if anyone knows of a good schematic i can view online or someting that would be outstanding. Thanks

Before you start chasing the wires, have you positively determined that your headlight switch is good. You made no mention about having checked fuses.

Brakelights and turnsignals are a different circuit.

Checked the switch-good, wiring harness-good, The problem is the headlight tailight circuit is not getting any juice. I need to figure out were the hot line plugs into the box to see if its getting any power. The lights worked fine before i tore the motor out. something either got unhooked or knocked off and i need to figure out what and where
