yeah its a chevy/gmc thing. for whatever reason thats the way it is. I've spent along time once on a customers truck. it was doing the same thing. 45 psi and nothing. I was trying to figure it out when suddenly the pump started working properly and the truck fired. I was completly dumbfounded. luckily I left the guage hooked up, and it was reading 60 PSI. thats when I decided to look up the spec. Holy ****, 60 PSI.. I'm shocked they won't even start. you'd think it would at least idle.
