| yeah you would have to change motor mounts or make them yourself and the motor 4.3l is the same as a 350 just 2 cyl. droped off. but the 5.0 will not match up with that chevy trans. hope you can get the trans with the motor for it to work in there

| incorrect. the tranny will match the 5.0. He's right on the motor mounts. i don't believe they will match up. electronics wise you'll need a new computer.

| why stick a 305 in it? The biggest baddest 305HO made a whopping 190 horsepower, and the torque figures were nothing to write home about. Heak that 4.3 is probably producing right around the same figures. If you are gonna go through the hassle of the upgrade, why not install at least a 350, or 383. These mills are getting pretty cheap now, and would be the exact same amount of work to install. This is true "free horsepower". |

| You will need the computer, and harness for the V8. Bigger radiaor to cool larger engine shorter shroud for radiator, 6 popper shroud is too short. Motor mounts fan should interchange Depending on how you plan on running the fuel management system, you may need all of the stuff for the new fuel system. Other than time, it is not so tough. Might ask yourself if it is worth it though. Would you be ahead of the game if you just bought one that was already a V8, and installed a fresh crate motor. Heak if you found a good one, you may not even have to do anything. |

| The wee-oh-five is a waste of time. The trucks are a dime a dozen, you might as well sell yours and buy a nicely equipped one. It would be easier in the long run.
