| 67 chevy 4x4 power steering I just bought a 67 chevy c20 4x4 with a 292 streight 6, I want to put power steering on it but cant find anything listed for a 67 4x4 , either on the internet or in the catalogs?? Also is there another web site to ask that is more deticated to older trucks. Thanks everyone. Rick |

| You are in the right spot here. Is your truck lifted? The real answer to your question is to use a 2wd Saginaw steering box, and install an aftermarket pitman arm for a 4x4. Install it so it sweeps from left to right, and not foward to rear like it is now. The new arm will have a tappered hole instaed of a ball joint on the end. Then you can install a crossover steering kit, and eliminate the poor steering that you have now. The short drag link that connects the box to the steering knuckle is too short for proper operation, and anything that you may install other than a crossover kit would just be asking for future problems. What type of front axle are you running? |

| wow, Thanks 75k30, that helps alot,, Yes it is lifted, 4" blocks in rear and front springs have been recurved. front axles look original. What years steering box will work, and where do I get this crossover kit. Thanks, Rick Last edited by goldengoat2; 05-07-2007 at 05:18 PM. |
