Evap Leak

Does anyone know what a possible fix is for this code P0455-Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak) It is on a 2003 Silverado Z71 w/ a 5.3

well, for starters there is an evap system. Evap is simple. Its a vacuumed controlled deal that puts a small amount of pressure in the tank and lines, to make sure there are no leaks. you'll need a smoke test. probably a loose gas cap. Don't fill it while its running either that will set it off for sure. Have the code clear, check your cap, and keep driving. if it comes back on, have a smoke test done.
