brake light

my 90 siverado z71 brake light just started to blink today..it blinks like 10 times... pauses for a milli sec..then blinks 10 times...pauses for a milli sec..and so on..any thoughts??...when I put e-brake on , the light stays on...I can hold the e-brake up and no change, the light keeps blinking

dude i had a similar prob i had posted but unplug the antilock break **** by the maser cylinder, andplug it back in, iwhat i did was fist unplugged the parkbrake switch to see if it turned off, then i unplugged the proportioning valve to see if it goes off , the last was the antilock brake and that fixed it, mines plugged back in with no brake light prob, i heard that static can build up and cause this to happen , but thats heresay, hope this helps

I just took off the negative terminal from the battery for 1 min. or so...reset puter, and all is well again!!

i'm pretty sure when the light blinks instead of staying solid it is because the computer is trying to tell you that it is a problem that needs immediate attention instead of the normal "you may want to look at this" light. if i was you i would of had the code read first before reseting the computer, if there is a problem the code will pop up soon, within the next drive or two.
