Floor Heater Actuator

Hello

Second Post different issue. My floor heater actuator stopped working. Since this was out of warranty I just replaced it and all was well. It lasted for about a year and now is not working again. I read on other postings (not sure if it was here) that this could be resolved by disconnecting the battery and allowing the system to reset. Any truth to this? I don't mind replacing it again, but I doubt these go bad as often as this.

Thanks

Its a 2001 Chevy Silverado Xcab 4X4 All stock. I know the miles are high 41K, but for the second actuator to go out in such a short period of time is troubling. This actuator is located on the passenges side, near the floorboard.
Thanks if you have any insight on this.

What does it exactly do when this floor heater actuator goes bad?

I have heard that disconnecting the battery for an hour+ or so will reset the cpu system but I was told that it was not as consistent as reseting it with the scan tool.
