Find the park control wire and ground it out. you'll have to do the research on what color of wire it is.

I will try and locate that and let everyone know how it worked, are you sure it won't short out the NAV-DVD system? Thanks for all of your input that everyone has sent, anything I can help you all with just ask!!

I have the panasonic dvd player in my 05 crew cab and i installed it myself and all i had to do is take the green avs wire and ground it out. they guy at my local stereo shop told me that the wire gets a singnal from either your ignigtion the shifter or your parking brake and you have to ground it out, or you can just go to the shop and get the switch that bypasses it and gives you your steering wheel controls back 85$ when i get a couple more dollars i am going to buy becaue i want my buttons back
good luck

you can't do it with the factory system. from what i was told before i bought mine there is a mercury switch in the radio that trips when the vehicle is moving. shoulda got the 1LT and put a aftermarket in. but if you find away let me know then i'll put the wife's back in her truck.

If theres a mercury switch then tear the radio apart, take an ohm reading on it, and put a resistor in its place. Sounds easier then it probably would be though. I take no responsibility in what you do or try to do
