Upper Control Bushings

I need to replace front upper control bushings on 1995 Z71 4x4. Are they pressed in or can they be tapped in with hammer. Any tips would be helpfull. Thanks!!!

Going to take a little heat and a press. Be carefull not to bend the arm.

are you sure you need to replace them? i have a 96 k1500 and i thought i needed bushings but they were adjustable and a couple of guys i talked to said they rarely wear out. i just adjusted mine and its as tight as new.

But there shouldn't be any play at the bushing. When I jack up my truck i can hold the wheel and move it back and forth and see about .25" of movement at the upper bushing. I found out the control arms from Chevrolet have bushings installed and are about $120.00 per side. I think I'm going to replace the whole control arm instead.

I have 230,000 miles so I've decided to go ahead and replace the upper control arms and upper ball joints. Thanks for the advice and help you guys give.
