Try not to set very high expectations if you are looking for more power. The injection is only going to be more efficient. If your carb is doing a poor job of mixing fuel and air, you may see a slight increase in performance but is not very likely. Well that is depending on the size of your carb. If you are running a very smalll carb and the CFM is greater with the injection unit then you will see a perfromance difference, but if you are comparing equally flowing units, then no.
A good carb is tough to beat, but can be a bit tricky to get set up. The biggest advantage to electronic fuel injection, is its ability to monitor itself, and make corrections to alter air / fuel ratios.
Injection can also be an advantage in rough conditions such as off-road, or boating where the fuel in the carb bowls can slosh. With injection, it will work at any angle.
Just a thought, those systems are pretty expensive. If you are looking for power, and of course if you are building a chevy, why not consider a set of late model Vortec heads and late model injection with an ecm and harness from a donor vehicle. You would spend about the same money, and then you would realize better performance.
Little more difficult to do with a ford, or chrysler, but easy as pie with a bow tie.
