you must have the 5.7 early truck, and not the 5.3 right?
Ayway, if you must run that muffler, you can purchase the muffler that you want, you will just need somethiing similar to flowmasters "Y" collector. It will take the 2 1/4" dual inlets, and transition to a single 3" outlet that will go right to the 3" inlet of the super 44 muffler. That will mean that you will only have a single outlet.
If you have to keep dual tailpipes, then you will have to install two mufflers.
I dont remamber any of the trucks having two tailpipes, did you change the exhaust already?

It shouldn't even have dual in. The silverado does have two cats, and 4 O2 sensors, but uses a crossover pipe that goes into a 3" collector after the cats. The cats are small and round, (have two sitting on the shop floor) and the crossover goes from the pass side to the driver side, and meets at a common collector with a ball and socket flange using two 15 mm nuts to fasten it together. (this is where a cat back system bolts right up.) Cut out the old muffler, and install the new one. You will need to add a piec of pipe to make up the difference in length, but the 44 should go right in, and with no mods to the existing system.
I just cut one up from the same year truck. The muffler should go right in 3" in and 3" out.

I dont have a muffler shop. I build off road rockcrawlers. I use the LS(X) engines, and one of the donors was a wrecked silverado, the same as yours. I leave the engines in the trucks and make my modifications while they are still in the wrecked vehicles. Once I have ECM parameters and fuel curves where I like them I then have a baseline to refer too when I tear everything apart, and re-build the engine. Once that is complete, I am confident that the vehicle should fire up, and will be pretty close to being right when it hits the dyno. The dyno room helps me fine tune the already modified computer program, and the rest is history. I see many stock trucks come through, and I tear them apart.
I recieve some new (free) stuff once in a while from vendors who ask local shops for asistance on R&D. They send components to use while we dyno test, and allow us to keep the stuff if they can keep dyno results for print if they are good enough. We have a deal with some manufacturers, so we get a chance to test som prety funky stuff.
Those 44's are pretty loud, and they have a very deep tone. You will not need dual outs, or will not need any dual pipes. The little motor will expell gasses through a single 3" set-up just fine.
If you must have a dual out set-up, consider an "extreme muffler" from 'cherry bomb' (yeah guys I did say cherry bomb, I know, I know), but this is a brand new series fully welded chamber style muffler. It does offer a dual out, it is loud, and also has a design similar to the flowmaster. No fiberglass style muffler here LOL!
I have tested a set, and they sound pretty good for what they are.
The flowmaster runs about $80.00, and does sound better than the other, but the cherry bomb is only $50.00, does sound pretty good and made the smae horsepower as the flowmaster. Keep in mind that neither one made superb power, so dont have high expectations for crazy horspower numbers, but they do sound good.

You will still be running cats, so that truck will not be all that loud, even a straight pipe truck is not that bad, but it will attract the attention of the local law, so keep that in mind, and yes the new cherry bomb is louder than the 44. I like the deeper idle qualities of the 44.
I am suprised you found a clip of the bomb.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
