Talking Dimmer/Light Switch

Has anyone had a problem in late 1980's chevy, and their dimmer switch and light switch? I've had to replace it twice now, because they keep dying on me. And the only lights that stop working are my dash lights and my tail lights (work when i press on brake) the headlights work just fine. the uint itself lasts for one month sometimes a little more.... All the fuses I have checked are fine

We had a similar problem with our 84 Jimmy, turned out the wiring was just bad. I rewired the dash and fuse box with new wiring I got from Painless.

You seem to know your way around a truck. Id say yes. It wasnt real hard, just replace the wires one by one. Pick up a chiltons manual if you dont have one.
