| You could have your cam timing off, lifters too tight, spark timing not set right, It may even be something even simpler. I have a 95 1/2 ton 4X4 with a built 350, It has less than 1000 miles and have torn it down- apart removed abut 3 times changed the cam 3 times and my whole prob was the wrong valve springs. Now its right with 406hp@ crank and 412ftlbs torque and still runs ALL accessories and the factory computer. Just be patient, sometimes it pays off more than you think. |

| i dont have my exhaust on yet either. we finished the rebuild this morning so i havnt had time to take it to a muffler shop to get my exhaust put on. my oxygen sensor is at the end of my new longtube headers, could a problem be that the sensor isnt getting hot enough and screwing up the computer? i was also thinking that since the computer is set for the old stuff, because its an 87, and i put in these performance parts, that it would run poorly without a new chip? |
