| drive shaft how much of a pain in the butt is it to change the carrier bearing assembly on an 88 c2500 ext cab long bed, i was told it is pressed on?? thanks |

| Carrier bearings are in the rear axle, The center support bearing that you are talking about is a press on unit. Make sure when you take the driveshaft apart that you mark it so you can re-assemble it the way it came apart. Multi piece driveshafts are balanced as one unit and getting one out of phase will result in a vibration problem. |

| I think he means the center support bearing.. and it shouldn't be too hard, it's quite simple on the Ranger.. how much harder can it be on a full size
