Additional torque/power

As it says, I am looking for additional TORQUE first then power later. I do not need a race truck, have a car for that. I need more torque for towing, and such. For now I do not want to go into the motor. So that leaves me with bolt ons, and tuning. What do you suggest for the tuner? And for the bolt ons, I plan on starting with a t.b. riser, and headders, but which one's for a '99 5.7 2500 LS Crew cab. Thanks.

All of the above a pretty much a waste of money. Not gonna realize big torque gains without getting into the internals. Too many guys try to nickle and dime bolt ons with poor results. If you are towing, you just need to step up a little in the gears. Creating a mechanical advantage is the best way to obtain your goal. Truck will drive better, and it will last longer under load.

you can't really "go for torque now and hp's later" horsepower is realative to torque and rpms... i cant think of the mathamatical equation off the top of my head right now.

it sounds like what your looking for would be your gearing ratios, move that torque curve down to your lower rpms.

then you should put nitrous on it... that will get ya some torque, too
