02 Ram 1500 Cold Start Issue

02 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L 4wd
When cold starting, if the CEL is off, it rev's real high, if the CEL is on it doesn't rev as high. Can't drive it until it warms up either way. What could cause this???

Is this going to be like your 98 with the CEL and driver's door problems ?
Fix either of them ? or did you throw the truck away ?

What do you mean by "it rev's real high" - what rpm ?
What rpm is with CEL on ?
What do you mean by "Can't drive it until it warms up either way" ?

It's my friend that has the Dodge!! I'll ask him more specifics. He just said that if he puts the truck in drive if it's not warmed up it cuts out on him.
I'm slowly working on my 98 Chevy!! Finally decided to call a body shop. They're going to look at the door this week.
