Well I'm getting ready to drop my new motor in my 1997 Ram 2500 It's getting a new 5.9 to replace the old tired one. The old motor had 260000 on the clock. When I took off the timing cover It looked like an old worn out 10 speed chain lol. It was time it also bernt a qt a week this is what i'v got so far keeping in mind that the goal is to keep it so the stock computer runs the show without throwing codes at me. 1) bored .40 over 2) cam (I,ll try to find the duration if it's needed) 3)ported and pollished (over size valves) 4) RT intake 5)Holly 52MM throttle body 6)volant cold air intake 7)JBA headers 8)accel hot coil cap rotor and 8.8 mm wires 9) iridiam plugs 10) flowmaster cat and muffler 3" pipes can't think of anything else of importance right now the question is I want to go from the stock 21lb.(I think) injectors to 25lb. but i'm not sure if the stock fuel pump will keep up. I realy don't want to lean this thing out. can anybody help me

The stock pump will be more than adequate for this application. I even feel that the stock injectors will be just fine, but larger ones will not hurt. The .040 cut on the cylinders is interesting, but I really question the preciuos metal plugs? Any reason why you intend to run these instead of a copper plug? I have found that special metal plugs have a very small electrode that gets very hot and adds to detonation. The mis-conception is that this style plug has a better spark, but in reality they do little for performance. Detonation will retard the timing and will actually make less power.

thanks, as for as the injector size goes it's simply a volume game for horse power the more air and fuel you can get in get burnt and get out the more horse power you can make. sorry the bore size is 40 over did i put the decimal in the wrong place. I went as far as I thought I could go saftly. I also dropped the thermostate 15 Deg. to compensate for heat. these are the same kind of plugs I had in the old motor I found it ran off 87 oct. without pinging so bad. I also found from experiance with the coil i have you need to gap the plugs wider if not they burn to hot.
