Vibration

I have a 90 PowerRam 4x4.
Just had the all the shaft components re-done,and I just got done putting it back in.
They said they balanced it,but when you shift in to 3rd there's a few seconds of vibration there that wasn't there before.
Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be ?

Welcome to the site.
Did your new shafts come assembled? Did you undo any of the shafts during assembly? Might just have a shaft that is out of phase and is causing the problem.
Do also make sure that you have the u-joints torqued properly, and installed correctly. Anything that might be off a little, could cause a problem.

Thanks for the welcome Dude I really appreciate it !!!!
I checked everything, and it all seems to be OK .
I had the u-joints put in by a place here in town cuz I dont have the stuff to do it properly .
But I'm honestly lost when you said u-joints torqued properly......What exactly do you mean, cuz I might be missing something?!!!!.
Thanks again

do you have a 2piece shaft? if so did you replace the center carrier bearing? that could be your problem

I did change the carrier bearing but am still having problems.
It's not doing after shifting gears like I thought, but its doin it starting at about 30mph,and goes till about 38mph,then it smooths out ,it does it even in 4th gear.
Everyone I've talked to here has said the same....Either the shaft is out of balance or I could possibly have a tire going out !!!
BUT...The thing is ,it didn't start this till I put the shaft back in.
I've checked everything to make sure it's centered and tight ....and everything is where it should be,so I don't know........
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Driveline driveshaft troubleshooting

See if this helps a little. Maybe there is something there.
I still believe that your shaft is simply out of phase. Coule be that when you took the shaft apart, it did not go together correctly. Did you mark the shaft at the slip joint and verify that the thing went back together the same way it came apart?
Are all of the u-joints aligned in a row (proper phase)?
Overtightening the u-joint fasteners can also cause a problem, especially if you use u-bolt style fasteners.

Cool I'll look at it!!!!!

The shaft is together the way it came apart.
But I haven't checked the u-joints to see if they are aligned ,and there is a chance that I have the fasteners too tight.
I'll check it out first thing in the morning !!!!
Thanks allot Man.
