2001 Dodge Ram Water Pump

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 w/ the 5.2L engine. The water pump has failed. Does anyone have the procedure for removal/installation of the water pump? Also, any tips and tricks would be helpful.

Thanks for the help.

WOW, 25 bucks, where did you find that? They are like 12 bucks here! Anyways, the repair manual will help. Water pump is not hard. Messy, but not hard. good luck.

It looks worse than it is, the biggest pain I had was removing the fan, had to buy a strap wrench to hold the pully and it was still hard to get off. My neighbor held the strap wrench tight while I loosened the fan. I do'nt believe I had to remove any brackets at all to remove the pump.
