Vent air prolbem

Glad to be part of this site hope I can learn alot . My prolbem is when air is comeing through vent air will cycle frome vent to defrost etc. I no it is vacume prolbem I have checked lines have not put a vacume gage on it yet . Any help would be great. Also when it acts up is when i give it more gas or let up on pedal. My truck is 2001 Dodge Ram Quad cab 4x4 5.9 Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the forum dcpky. Is this the 2500 ?
I didn't think that truck was vacuum operated.
Sounds like the mode door wiring is the problem, or the controller is internally bad.
Check for solid connections behind controller to mode motor.
Loose or dirty connections can give you wandering symptoms.

Hey cool, two years newer !
As I recall there are two mode doors that do that.
I would definately check the connections are good
because the other choice is the controller is bad ($$$).
Since it's cycling, the mode motors are probably good.
For me, with the airbag deal, I would disconnect the battery
and wait a couple minutes before playing around in dash.

Under The Hood, Find The Vacum Feed Hose For The Htr/ac, It Should Be On Rh Side Of Intake, Replace The Inline Vacum Check Valve, Round Thingy By The Vacum Inlet.
