squeaky brakes 05 Ram

Has anyone else had this problem or know someone that did and how to fix it?

I have changed two sets of pads and rotors on two different 05 dodge rams and they both have done the same thing. they work fine no squeak until about a week after they leave my sight. then I get a phone call saying "Hey why's my brakes squeak" and then I scratch my head... New pads, new rotors, re-greased, and I even sprayed the back of the pads with disc quiet. I do brakes all the time on tons of vehicles and the 05 Ram is the only one to ever give me trouble like this

The only thing I havent changed is the calipers on both trucks, but why would the caliper make it squeak? they seemed fine to me, I mean they werent froze or hard to "push" the caliper pistons back in the caliper. The calipers are only 3 years old?? WTF

if anyone can help please let me know

Thanks Slicc

jimbo543 has a spectacular aura aboutjimbo543 has a spectacular aura about
are the brake pads leading/trailing edge tapered up or are the edges squared off? if square, grind a taper to both ends about 1inch back up about 1/2 inch, could also take a cutoff wheel and cut a line up/down in center of pad, torque lugs 120ft lbs.

it's the material the pads are made of. your using metallic or semi-metallic, right? try switching to ceramic pads.

squeeking is usually caused by either the type of linning material[its bad now that the asbestos has been removed]or a steel to steel contact point being to dry. They actually vibrate a little when braking under certain conditions.Like a string on a violyn.Try using a synthetic brake lubricant on all metal to metal contact points.I actually mix mine with a small amount of high temp weel bearing grease, it wont wash out and gives great anti-wear protection.Hope this is helpfull

No No No, only on the steel to steel contact surfaces, end of steel backing on pad ,to knuckle.Caliper to knuckle ,wear it contacts each other.Between the rotor and hub contact surface.Between the steel backing to caliper contact surfaces
