Question 1998 Dodge Ram Brake Problem

I have a 98 Dodge Ram and everytime I go to stop it feels like it is going to throw me out the window. I push the brakes easy but it still feels like im going to get whip lash. What do I need to do to fix this brake problem?

sounds like a problem with the combo valve. do you have disc or drum brakes in the rear?

also check for contaminated pads/shoes. if you get bearing grease or brake fluid on them, it will cause them to grab like that.

Im not sure if it has dics or drum brakes but ill go look.......it is also leaking brake fluid too so I'm not sure if that would have something to do with it or not
