| any time the check engine(CE) or service engine soon (SES) light comes on it means your computer is saying "hey we need to have a talk". and if you choose to ignore it you might end up spending money that you wouldn't have if you'd just talked to it. in other words you need to pull the code either by jumping the diagnostic port or go to a place like AutoZone that has a code scanner and will pull your codes free of charge. personally I would get it cleared because you never know if the problem that triggered the code is the only problem you have. another problem could present itself while your SES light is already on and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, you just think to yourself "thats normal it's always on"

| Are parts on all years of Dodges interchangable ? Why don't all questions start with year/make/model/eng/tran/2or4wd ? Nevermind, I'm sticking with the first question. |

| I agree with you Crab. it seems people get so caught up in the problem they are having with there truck/vehicle that they forget to tell what the vehicle info is: year/make/model/eng/trans/2or4wd. we are more than willing to help but we just need all of the pertinent facts "the more we explain the more we can help each other for free"
