 | 98 Dodge ram 1500 Oil pressure problem Hey guys, hope to find some help about my oil pressure. I've had problems with it since last fall, eventually blew the motor, replaced it with a used 318 ,and still had the oil pressure problem. What it's doing is it will start up having good pressure but once it warms up it falls back when idoling or rpm's are low when driving. I've replaced the pump twice, thinking I got a faulty pump and now have a high output pump in it. I also had a new electrical sending unit put on when I put the new engine in. If anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it could you please let me know. Thank's. Johnny |

 | Welcome to the forum Johnny. You may want to add some more detail to the pressure readings. Some changes like what you describe are normal with warm up and idle. There are other threads on this subject you can search out. |

| not sure if your truck would have a factory oil cooler, but it may be a neccesary investment, |
