Building up a 360 for my D250

Hi! My first post here............

I have an 84 Dodge 250 2x converted to a flat bed. She passed her last smog check and I want to build the engine up now.

So far I have an Endlebrock Performer manifold and a matching Endlebrock 625 CFM carb for it that I got from the junkyard. Came off a wrecked 82 Ram with a 360.

I plan on headers and stacks with it. I want efficiency. Not looking to build a speedster here. I already have a very powerful 85 F350 crew cab 4x4 with a built up 460 and a 4" lift kit. Enough zoom in that for my not so cheap thrills!

No need for speed with this Dodge project. Low-mid range power for hauling and passing when needed.

Here's my questions:

Would this setup require another cam? I have been told that the stock 360 truck engine cam would be drowned by this carb/manifold setup and that it would run too rich.

Are there smaller jets available for this carburetor if I stick with the stock cam? Better MPG?

What cam would be best for my use if it's needed?

It looks like the new exhaust stacks installation would be kinda twisty. Would several sharp bends ruin the exhaust flow? Would larger than normal exhaust pipe be called for?

Hard to find stacks I like. Any good sources for them? FOUND SOME!

Thank you! I look forward to your answers.

I dont know for sure but I dont see a 625 drowning the motor, you should be able to contact edelbrock and tell them your set-up and they can suggest jet sizes and settings ect.
