1999 4x4 1500 Dodge tranny shift problems

My brother's truck has a 5.9l, 3spd w/OD and when it is cold, the truck runs like new. After the truck starts to warm up, the problems start. When starting from a stop, he has to shift to L1 and on up to OD. Once in OD, the truck drives and runs fine until he comes to another stop.

I don't know if a rebuild includes that or not, but my brother has had the tranny rebuilt 9 times, yes, 9 times, and this last time it was replaced.

JR

He said it was replaced on the first tranny.
