o2 sensor

i've decided i wanted to rip everything out from the flanges to the tailpipe, all of my welding as been from the bottom, everything bolted in, and with a stick welder, looks wild, every weld leaks at the top, and sounds funky because i tried the mig first with flux core and i know there's a giant birds nest blocking the tube. it sounds WEIRD when you get into the 3000+ range.

now i've gotten my hands on a wire feed mig with plenty of gasses at my disposal (haha, no, not going stainless ), and @ 150,000, may as well get a new o2 sensor, which leads me to two questions.

what's the best o2 band name to get. bosch?

and

what should i do about a throaty rumble when under moderate accelleration, but also have that beefy 'woof' when ideling?

i was thinking having pipe from each manifolds into some short straight-in/out glasspacks (with baffels the correct direction) then Y into a X pipe, tap and drill for the sensor, then Y back out to some long glasspacks, like 50" or so?

should be moderatly quiet from all that baffeling. factory the o2 was before the cat, with flow from both banks. so that leaves me with the option to go catless.

and no, i'm not buying $150 mufflers that are not straight through, defeats the purpose.

figure if i have the right tools, i can build something quite quiet with straight trhough muffler designs. and at $15 each it's cheaper.
