mpg on v10 auto 4x4?

I am looking at a 99 2500 4x4 reg cab longbed with the v10 to replace my 02 Silverado 2500 HD 8.1L Allison Auto 4x4 ext cab longbed. It got about 12 highway and 10 city. Can I expect the same out of the V10 Dodge? Found 1 for under $5000 with 47000 miles but I am a little scared to pull the trigger. Any help will be appreciated

its a v10. no such thing as good mileage. not even decent mileage. if it were me and i needed something that had alot of power to it, i would stick with the desiel. it will last longer than that 10 cyl.

with that v10 your looking at about 5 to 9 mpg

Thanx everyone I think it's time for me to scale down on the HP. I don't need it but it was nice to have.
