2006 Ram trouble code?

MOD$00
EVAP Emission
Control System
Leak Very Small

Neighbor has this code and check engine light on intermittently.
Dealership keeps blowing him off with the "gas cap loose" saying

Truck is still under warranty

Any ideas of cause, I'm not familiar with fuel injected systems.
Should this be covered under warranty?

purge solenoid bad

my scanner reads.... evap emission...control system leak...very small

could also be NVLD Natural Vacuum Leak Detector pump or it's seal(o-ring)
