fuel problems

New tranfer pump and filter, but the truck will run then cut out and die. It is almost like I am cutting the truck off. This is not a slight miss and it is not regular. It will run prefect for a little while then miss real bad and die. The fuel punp will not run for a bit and then the fuel pump will start working and the truck will start and do it again. Any ideas.

check for leak before pump, could be sucking in air
