More transmission issues

2007 2500 with 5.9L Cummins automatic.
It seems that it is normal for this transmission to be very sluggish when first started in the morning. I have had this truck for exactly 1 year and this was not a problem with it but, recently (just in the last month) when first started it is not just sluggish, there are totally no gears at all. In the last month or so, when first started it will not back out of the garage until it has been in gear for sometime. Last Thursday it was parked on a very slight incline facing up hill, and when I started it I thought the transmission was gone. I put it in drive and it rolled backward no matter how much I accelerated the engine until several seconds had passed. Dodge described the sluggish thing as something that happens if the truck sets for several days not just overnight and since just started it seems to me that it is unrelated. The truck has 9,975 miles on it.

Call cummins customer service and ask them about it, tell them about what the dealer is telling you.
