Those are pretty difficult to come by, and were not such a great idea then. Is there any reason you desire to have the gas tank in the cab there with you?
Many PW owners are installing smaller tanks under the bed like later more conventional trucks.
Is this a factory correct restoration or something that would eliminate this type of modification?
I believe that many are using late model Jeep tanks, because they fit between the frame rails, and have a decent capacity.

bomb

hi there ,i would take it out of the cab if originality was not a issue ,it's a bomb waiting to happen plus the gas fumes . i took the in cab tank out of my 1961 gmc and made a tank to go in between the rear frame behind the axle .

I know there is some place in TEXAS that sells nothing but older Dodge trucks, & Wagoneers might do a goggle search on it maybe they can help you out.
Good luck! GMC
