Airbag chime

I have a 1995 2500 v8 truck. The airbag light comes on intermittently and along with it the annoying chime. If any one knows the problem please let me know. Im not against just pulling the electronic chime out just to make the noise go away. Any help is greatly appreciated.

need to put the truck on a scanner to find the problem. we wouldn't know where to begin with out the trouble code.

if the Air bag light is coming on, you have a relay or sense=or problem that NEEDS attention. Mud is right, you need to get a scanner on it to determine what specidifcally, meanwhile you should not be driving. If the system is not acting normally, nor responding normally, then a random airbag deployment is possible. OR they may not deploy in the event of a collision. I would hate to hear about you driving down the road and have the air bag deploy and "cause" an accident. Not to mention, this is a serious inspection item in almost every state.

Thanks guys. It sounds like it is nothing that I can quickly fix and should have looked at immediately. I appreciate the input.
