Well the common hemi trademark was the sparkplugs going down thru the valve covers into the top of the cylinders instead of the side... The only experince I've had with dodges was my fathers 01 2500 V-10 it was a 5th wheel hauler before he got it and it had 50000 there abouts and after 6 months the lower end took a dump and he had to rebuild it... of course he bored it and beefed it up to a 582 ci I think... and after that he could smoke the 315's he had on it all day long!!!!

00 dodge?? pray you dont have a problem with the fuel system. they dont have a filter. just a sock that you CANNOT buy seperate from the pump. the 5.9 is a strong engine but dont try and do anything with the dizzy. you cannot reach it without taking the top of the engine off. i love mine though even if it is a ram versus what you are looking at. they dont get excellent mileage but make a good platform for mods. knowing what you like to do with yours, i would stick with GM as everyone has a much larger selection of aftermarket parts for chevy/gmc than dodge or ford.

i might not do anyhting to the engine just clean it up and paint it... get some shinny stuff under there and call it a day... really i only plan on usung it for cruise nights and weekends.. for now... untill i get my licence back... then the mods will start... yeah i will put i cai and it already has duel flows but that is about it for now... how rare is the dakota r/t.. is it something that i would want to keep for a while with low miles and then sell down the road... or should i say what are the differences between a stock dakota and the r/t... i know its a perfomance package but what else is different

the price, im sure. i have no idea slammer. i know that the r/t (racing technology) came available on several different models and the dakota rts are supposed to be some bad so of a guns. i have seen them stock take out quite a bit of other stock vehicles.
