88 Dakota computer problem?

MY 88 Dakota keeps dying. It may start an hour later, a day later or a week later. On both occasions that it was towed to the shop it started without them doing anything. Wiggling wires and knocking the computer won't make it stop. Anybody have any experience with this?

Fuel pump is working but no spark.

welcome to the forum a little more information might help? such as are you getting spark and fuel or does it just not turning over

i heard of this on a 89 it was a box on the pass side fender well it was bad. find out what it is and how to test it the truck would crank and not start then after sitting it would fire up

i believe see error is refering to the ignition control module. it is esay to take off as it has a couple of screws and a one plug. autozone can test this for free.
