| If you do the compression check and it is low, squirt some oil in the cyl and see if it comes up(that would mean rings) however, A lot of the manufactures seem to have trouble with plentum gaskets, How did the previous owner make th determination?

| he took it to his shop and i guy said that was the problem from what i understand....dont know if any test were ran or not |

| well have at it then, make sure all the parts are clean before reassembly, and use a torque wrench. let us know how you make out

| ran compression test on #8 was 40 and # 6 was 170 so i think there is a piston problem on #8 is there anything i can do to bring it back up without pullin the motor.......let me know asap!!! |

| you may have a burnt valve. did you try squirting some oil in the cylinder to see if the compression bumped up?

| ok result on squirting oil it went up maybe to 50 55 at most |

| time to pull the head and intake and replace the gaskets along with checking out the cylinder walls and valves.

| so is it the piston rings on that cylinder or something else... would a bad plenum gasket or intake gasket cause this |
