1998 5.9

so Im looking at buying a jeep that came from the factory with the 5.9(limited) which is also the 360. my questin would be, what problems have ya'll found with them? I do believe they are the same as the ones that were in the trucks

yeah it has a problem. the dizzy cap and rotor are in the worst possible place ever. aweful to take off and put back on. nice thing is that alot of the 5.2 parts will fit on it from what i understand out of other mopar fans.

Most small block mopar stuff will interchange with the 360, and it is the same 360 they put in the trucks. Only problem ive seen with them is the fuel economy. Living definition of a gas hog! Not a bad engine otherwise.

gas mileage isnt a super big issue.... my truck pulls about 13-15.... so in a jeep it is about the same.... besides, Im planning on a 6 inch lift and 35's

I still have the chevota, with the 400 sb...... thats my ride... my wife is wanting a "family friendly trail toy" and I found a good deal on one. so I figure what the heck... besides, my job just gave me another raise, an promotion..... I went from the tire guy to the tire repair specialist.... whats another vehicle right??? and Im selling the 85 ford, and an old 1970 2 wheel drive that I have had for years.
