| Welcome to the forum. Squeaking can be from something dry and or rubbing. Have you tried the rather simple case of squirting WD40 at your shock mounts (both top and bottom) and also the various exhaust mounts? There are a couple of places on the body to check, like where it bolts to the frame with rubber bushes, also the spring shackles and so on. Just try a few at a time looking for the squeek to change, not necessarily disappear. I am presuming the squeak can be reproduced at will. Also have you stood outside the truck as it's driven past you to try and localize the squeak to fore/aft left/right? If it "sounds like its coming from the rear" is decided by the driver, then you need a person outside the truck to help find it. -CTH |

| welcome to the forum If you can hear it on a regular basis, take the service writer for a ride, make sure he hears it, tell him to give you a loaner, and call you when it is fixed. If he can't or won't call gm customer service and file a complaint

| there are many things it could be. when you put it in gear is there a lag? meaning like you put it into gear and it takes a wile and the truck hopps a bit. because my dad had it happen. its caused from alot of use and going through a puddle at the end of the day. what actually happens idk but that may be the cause of the squeak |

| I had a similar issue with my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500. The dealer could not hear the squeak on my truck either, so I had him come outside and listen to it echo off of the building. The problem was a Ujoint. |

| I agree that he needs to take it to the dealer untill they fix it. I know it is an old post but it is so fun to jump on the band wagon. ![]()
