does that mean that you wont see a huge problem driving the truck until they can flip the bill for a new one?? i have suggested the yard to them but i believe that you would have to have those things reflashed to work correctly.

will it run? yes. properly? no. i don't think it will do any permanent damage though.

any PCM you put in it will need to have the vin flashed along with the correct calibration.

you might be better off selling the truck.

why do you say that?? a new PCM plus the costs associated with flashing it will still be less than trying to sell the truck and buying a new one. remember too that this truck isnt mine.
if one were to go to a parts house and buy a new one, does that one need to be flashed as well and can they do it?? autozone sells these things for 237. + $50 core but didnt say anything about flashing it.

even taking it to a dealer cant be worse than trying to sell the truck. certainly labor doesnt take that long to do on a PCM.
you dont know anyone that can do this, do you?? remember, you owe me one for selling my engine.
