1977 dodge pw carb

i inherited a 77 dodge pw. it has a 360 with 2bbl holley carb. I would like to know if i can replace carb with another 2 bbl without changing the intake. i have been told the holley is junk and not worth over hauling.

what exactly are you wanting to change it with?? holley is not really junk and just like any auto maker, someone has a preferance about how is better. this always ends in the other guys are junk when they probably really arent. define junk and not worth overhauling. is it broke in half??

carb

my dad bought this truck in 1984 and it has always had a dead spot in it. You have to gun it or it dies. It has been overhauled twice and still the same results.

You need to have someone rebuild it that knows what they are doing with cards. I like holley better then any other carb,. They are very simple. If it stumbles I suspect either a accelerator pump, or timing.
