 | 2007 Dodge 3500 Dually rear end ratio BACK AGAIN. I posted earlier about the rear end noise in this truck and have determined we can't save that rear end. It is a 4X4 so both front and back must have same ratio. Problem is, i just can not find the data plate that tells me the ratio. Does anyone out there know where Dodge hid the data plate? Or maybe somebody knows how to find the ratio using the VIN? Wanted to know before tearing it down. I have looked for a tag on the differentials, in the glove box, on all the door jambs, under the hood and under the back seat, no data plate. All help is greatly appreciated.  |

 | Its on a plate that attaches the the rear differential cover. Alot of times it is removed during servicing. If the tag is not there, Then open the cover and look on the ring gear. There are 2 consecitive numbers that represent the ring tooth count vs the pinion tooth count, Its simple division at that point.
