Why wouldn't you look at year model? Just cuz its the same diff doesn't mean the hubs are the same. It may be splined differanty, it could be a bigger diamter, whatever the case may be.

thats true too. but usually when i buy stuff, i have measurements in hand as the possibility that it has been updated is still there. havent we already decided that the engine wasnt stock for the truck??

yes the engine is not stock...is there a number on the differential that i could look up to see what it is or do i find out using the VIN? how would i go about that? its just a regular dana 44 ain't it?

it has the automatic hubs on it...wouldn't i have to do some kind of conversion kit?
