Throttle control for an '05 cummins

Has anyone seen, heard, or know where I can find some information on hooking up some kind of throttle control to raise the idle while running a pto.

It is for a 2005, 3500, quadcab/crewcab, cummings, 6-speed, 4x4, red, work bed w/gin poles, 15k hydraulic winch, red, dually. I know most of that is unnecessary, but you never know

Thanks

Hello! I have thought about this issue also for ideling purposes. My line of thinking on the issue is you may want to talk with a Cummins shop and see if they can go in to the vehical computer and program it to "idle" the engine. Raise the engine idle to a set value when the truck is stationary, parking brake set, out of gear. I don't know if this is entirely possible thru the engine computer settings, but I would imagine it could be with the Cummins engine being essentially the same as the comercial engine used in small busses.
I have been planning on checking in to doing this after I buy my **first** diesel pickup (YAY)

Wow really old thread..... Just to let yall know there is a company out of canada that manufactures an electronic throttle control for the newer drive by wire diesels. As for setting the cruise control won't work if you are sitting still. Have to be going atleast 30 MPH (Tried it !! ) As for the controller it was relatively simple to install but I would not recommend it to a novice. You have to splice into one the the ecm wiring harness's and would not sugest it to everyone. N-E-Hoo If you have anymore questions on the matter let me know
