brake light problem

i have a 99 dodge ram quad cab 4x4 with 5.2 automatic. the abs light came on along with the brake light, there seems to be no problem. it has happened before and always went out. i even pulled the 10 amp fuse by drivers door brake light went out not abs so i pulled the 40 amp fuse from under the hood, but light still stayed on any help? also my speedometer started acting up today it will stay on 0 mph till iguess i hit about 20 mph then works fine, bit after i slow down to stop after it hits 20 mph it goes straight to 0 mph even when i am moving under 20 mph any help on that also? thanks! mister one thing after another!!

sounds like you got a wiring nightmare. electrical is my least favarite thing about trucks. i would suggest checking all your sensors, i believe each wheel has a sensor.

There's a speed sensor for the ABS system located on your rear differential that reads a "tone ring" that is on the ring gear assembly. Sounds like the sensor is bad or the electrical connection is faulty, probably a bad sensor tho. Your symptoms you describe indicate that the sensor is not functioning anymore.About $25 at the stealership.
