| 93 dodge dakota hello, I own a 93 dodge dakota and today I had the weirdest thing happen. My brake lights, my horn, my power locks, my anti-lock brakes, and ..........hm, can't remember the other things that went out. But the weird thing is, all my fuses are good. I have two idiot lights on though. And both are linked to the braking system. Am baffled. can anyone help? thank |

| Umm I would say you may have had a low voltage supply and it could of triggered some of that stuff to go off, but I think your computer just went crazy I would bring it into a dealership to scan it for codes...

| id agree with that. ive seen that same thing happen to other vehicles when the regulator went out. but since most vehicles have internal regulators, you might be replacing the whole alternator. |

| Going out on a thin limb,...none of what you mentioned is controlled by the computer on a '93 Dakota, so please don't waste your time checking for codes. You didn't mention if your radio still worked, how about the interior lights, the heater/A-C blower motor? Previous thread asked "will it run?". Mopars use a "fuseable" link for some of main power leads. It can burn out, look good when looking but have no voltage going through it. The things you mentioned get voltage from a central point, should be a power distribution box under the hood, check for voltage there. Electrical problems are fun. |
