| Diesel revs? I finally bought a 01 2500 with cummins diesel automatic, my brother has a 3500 02 with automatic, also diesel, My question is my truck will drop 400 rpm at 60 mph when put in overdrive, my brothers truck only drops 100 rpm at the same speed, is this normal for a 3500 series? |

| The difference may be in rear axle gearing, tire size and less likely, transmission gearing. I don't have specifics handy for you but I am willing to bet that one of the three will answer your question. |

| I agree about the gearing.
