Question dodge truck transmission swap

Hey guys, I'm new to the site and have a question.
I have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 rwd quadcab that has that good old transmission disease. I am considering swapping the bad transmission with a remanufactured transmission (I already have it) myself. It has been years since I last screwed around with transmissions but would like to know is there anything I should look out for if I decide to swap these myself?

Thanks,
willie

not really. Just don't forget to add fluid before starting the motor.

Shouldnt be too difficult, just make sure you put the correct fluid in it. Many of the Dodge tranny problems were due to incorrect fluid being used. Check the owner's manual and verify it with a dealer. Many of the dipsticks at some point were labeled wrong, so don't trust what the dipstick says until you verify it. Yours should use the Chrysler ATF+4.
