Automatic tranny problem,trouble shifting

Hi,I have a 99 dodge 2500 diesel with a auto transmission,it has trouble shifting from 2nd to 3rd and once in a while in other higher gears as well, you have to let off the pedal then sometimes it goes into gear, sometimes it doesnt. The truck came with the trailer tow package ,trans cooler and all that stuff. It has very little towing on the trans. The truck has 125,00 miles on it...I just find it hard to beleive it would need a re-build.Are there any sencors that go bad on these?I took it to the dodge dealer, they scratched there head then said it might need a re-build.The fluid has always been changed,I`am wondering if they put wrong fluid in..I`ve heard other drivers having the same problem in this forum,I would like to know what they have experienced with this problem. If anybody has heard or witness this kind of problem ,I could really use the information.I would sure hate to have a transmission place re-build it ,just to find out it really needed a relay fuse or something stupid like that. Thanks ....

the first thing I would do is check to see if you are throwing any codes. if so what are they? if there are no codes then you should look for a reputable tranny shop or a diesel shop that deals with transmitions. I wouldn't trust a dealer for any thing all they are good for is taking your money!! if you need some help you can call the guy who built my tranny he is very helpful.
