Vaccume cannister?

Has anyone installed a vaccume cannister on a 94-01 dodge ram to fix the heater and 4x4 problem? my heater will switch from vent to defrost as soon as i mash on the gas or even give it a little gas. and my 4x4 light goes off the same. i have installed one from a ford pickup onto a 96' dodge for my uncle and it cured his problem. or is there some other problem that i havent seen in the tech. bulletons?

just don't mash the gas anymore, thats probably what caused it anyway.

well i popped a jegs vaccume pump on the old B and that did it, the motor must be getting sour. o well she's good for another 50k, 250000miles and vaccume loss is my only problem, thats doin pretty **** good
